UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones has the perfect frame for an NFL wide receiver, tight end, or even defensive end (with some added bulk). He’s not only tall but Jones’ reach is freakishly long at 84.5 inches, perfect for swatting balls at the line, getting his hands on a quarterback, or going up to pull a pass down. Also, having brothers Chandler Jones and Arthur Jones already in the NFL doesn’t hurt his upside either.
The NFL season kicked off last night with the Denver Broncos trouncing the Baltimore Ravens in a game seeing Peyton Manning tie the league’s all-time record for touchdown passes in a game. With the first full Sunday of action slated for this weekend, it’s time to take a look at five UFC stars who would be at home on the gridiron if they’d chosen different career paths.
